Bringing Gender Euphoria to the metaverse

Strands For Trans is the world’s first global registry of transgender-friendly barbershops and salons, including businesses in countries where it’s illegal to be LGBTQ+. After facing a year of hateful legislation, we wanted to do something joyous and totally iconic to lift up the entire global transgender community on International Transgender Day of Visibility.

We partnered with vSpace to create Gender Euphoria: A Global Celebration, the most fabulously affirming gathering the metaverse has ever seen. People from anywhere in the world were able to interact face-to-face while watching some of the LGBTQ+ community’s most glamorous and inspiring artists, including Billy Porter, Chella Man, House of LaBeija, and others. Best of all, proceeds from the event helped Strands For Trans become an official non-profit organization. Slay!
